Several Club members visited the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) display to learn and experience the historic story of the Tuskegee Airmen and Women Airforce Service. Virginia Governor and community leaders, attended the opening ceremony welcoming the Tuskegee Airmen and Women Air Force Service Pilots Exhibit to Manassas Regional Airport on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
The Red Tail P-51C Mustang was on static display next to the Traveling Exhibit for attendees. The rare aircraft is one of only four like it still flying. It is highly recognizable because of its bright red tail and signifies the story of the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II. The exhibit also included two films that provided interesting historical background about these two organizations.
