Multi-Talented Entertainment Genius

Quincy Ledbetter, the son of Club member Johnny Ledbetter, is a filmmaker, photographer, and musician who focuses primarily in narrative, documentary, and experimental film.  He worked as an auditor for Price Waterhouse Cooper for a number of years before he took the leap into digital media where he conceived, produced, shot, and edited original content at top online new sites like Mashable, Mic  and HuffPost. 

In 2018, Quincy got his big break as a film director when he won the Project CREB competition by BET and Paramount Players. He was given a full budget to direct his first feature film “Alieu the Dreamer.” The film was released in 2020. That same year, he co-founded a production company called, ML-NEBULA with an intent focus on creating a safe and open environment for underrepresented filmmakers to thrive. Quincy’s work has won two Edward R. Murrow Awards (2018 and 2021), an ASME Ellie Award for News Documentary (2018), two Emmy Nominations for Short Format Daytime Program (2017 and 2022), and a Webby Award (2016 and 2021). His short film, The Black Disquisition has become an acclaimed feature in the film festival circuit and was recently selected for a year-long residency at the North Dakota Human Rights Film + Arts Festival, from January 2023 through January 2024, as part of their exhibitions at six different museums and art centers.
