Cierra Lively Receives State General Assembly Recognition

Club Scholarship Recipient Continues Breaking High Jump Record and Receives State General Assembly Recognition.

Cierra Lively has continued to excel as a junior receiving several athlete of the week awards in her Conference and breaking the school high jump record yet again with a leap of 1.68 meters. She also received recognition from the Ohio State General Assembly for her achievements.

Wright State’s Cierra Lively first broke the Wright State indoor school record in the high jump in her sophomore year as the track and field program competed at the Mastodon Invitational on Saturday, January 21, 2023 inside the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse.  The Wright State Raiders turned in 22 top-10 marks which was high-lighted by Cierra Lively’s record setting jump of 1.64 meters.  The clearance by the Cierra bested the previous record mark of 1.63 meters held by Kristina Bennett and herself.  Cierra went on to break the record again the following week with a jump of 1.67 meters, and then she broke the out door record. She was then named Horizon League Women’s Athlete of the Week. Cierra is the granddaughter of Club member Keith Lively and a former Fellowship Club Scholarship winner.  Congratulations to Cierra…continue to strive for excellence!
